Experts: Moscow’s mobile data 84% faster than country’s average

MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The average speed of mobile Internet in Moscow rose to 40 Mbit/s at the end of 2021 from 36 Mbit/s a year ago, which is 84% more than in the rest of Russia, news and research agency TelecomDaily said on Tuesday.

The agency registered the indicator at 36.5 Mbit/s in the Moscow Region against 34 Mbit/s a year ago. The average speed of mobile Internet in the country amounts to 21.7 Mbit/s, the agency said.

MegaFon leads with 53.1 Mbit/s in Moscow, and MTS and MegaFon offer the mobile data speed of 41.3 Mbit/s and 41.2 Mbit/s, respectively.
